Recently, an expert delegation consisting of Wu Shaoyuan, Director of the Center for Advancement of Teaching of China Convention and Exhibition Society, Li Mingyuan, Chief Supervisor of China Instrument and Control Society, Shi Qian, Deputy Secretary-General of Ecological Society of China, Wang Tizhuang, Secretary-General of Chinese Society of Particuology, Zheng Suping, Deputy Secretary-General of Chinese Chemical Society, Tang Yanan, Deputy Secretary-General of Chinese Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics, Yang Yong, Deputy Secretary-General of China Association of Gerontology and Geriatrics, Ma Chuang, Deputy Secretary-General of Chinese Association of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine, Xu Chunbo, Deputy Secretary-General of World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies, and Ye Jinrui, Deputy Secretary-General of Chinese Society for Composite Materials, visited the Ocean Flower Island for a two-day investigation and exchange.

The expert delegation visited the International Convention Center and the International Exhibition Center and then attended the promotion exchange meeting at Hall 9 of the International Convention Center. At the meeting, representatives of the International Convention & Exhibition Center introduced the overall planning advantages, convention and exhibition facilities, supporting facilities, operation, and future development of Ocean Flower Island in detail, and answered the relevant questions raised by the expert delegation. At the International Convention Center, 108 multi-functional conference rooms with different specifications and complete equipment, the 5,300-square-meter exhibition hall and other facilities designed according to the multi-functional application site standard, as well as the accommodation, catering, tourism facilities before and after the event of Ocean Flower Island, and the reception of the conference since the trial operation, have been highly recognized by the experts. After the meeting, the delegation personally inspected the Observation Tower, the Culinary Street, the Commercial Street, the Yacht Club, the Springs Resort, and other characteristic business forms.

On the second day of the trip, 10 experts, accompanied by the representatives of Ocean Flower Island International Convention & Exhibition Center, attended the "Danzhou Conference Industry Development Symposium" in Danzhou Municipal People's Government. Fu Sheng, member of the Standing Committee of Danzhou Municipal Party Committee and Vice Mayor, Lin Gaofeng, Deputy Secretary-General of Danzhou Municipal People's Government, and Lyu Liangwei, Deputy Director of Danzhou Modern Service Industry and Investment Promotion Bureau also attended the meeting.

At the meeting, the leaders of Danzhou first welcomed the delegation and introduced the overview of Danzhou's convention and exhibition industry and its supporting policies. After that, the two sides had a heated discussion on building the brand of Danzhou as a convention and exhibition city and accelerating the professionalization, internationalization, branding, and informatization of Danzhou's convention and exhibition industry, and jointly put forward opinions for the development of Hainan's convention and exhibition industry.

As one of the twelve key industries identified by the People's Government of Hainan Province, the convention and exhibition industry has a broad market prospect and plays an important role in promoting the construction of the Hainan Free Trade Port. Having a deeper understanding of the meeting environment of Ocean Flower Island and Danzhou through this exchange meeting, experts in professional fields will introduce more industry activities for Ocean Flower Island, Danzhou, and even Hainan in the future, bring about a number of international branded conferences, and promote the characteristic development of the convention and exhibition industry in Hainan Free Trade Port.
